This stunning new musical brings the classic story of Neverland to life for a whole new generation! This beloved tale features a spectacular, contemporary musical theatre score that is sure to delight audiences of all ages!

Peter Pan A New Musical will be our 62nd production.

Strong dancers/singers/actors with tap experience are especially encouraged to audition.

 

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
PETER PAN - The essence of youthful pride, a boy unwilling to accept the responsibilities of growing up. Must be willing to fly. (Strong Tenor to a G, Age Range 15-20, Small stature, Youthful looking)

WENDY - A young girl on the verge of womanhood, caught between the desire to stay innocent and the longing to mature. British accent. Must be willing to fly. (Strong Mezzo with Belt, Age Range 13-18, Strong actor, Small stature, Youthful looking)

JOHN - A young boy, longs to be a leader. Intelligent. British accent. Must be willing to fly. (Strong singer/actor, Age Range 10-13)

MICHAEL - A little boy, precocious, cute. British accent. Must be willing to fly. (Strong singer/actor, Age Range 8-10)

MR. DARLING/CAPTAIN HOOK – The leader of the pirates, and Peter Pan’s nemesis, fueled by revenge, unyielding in his pursuit. British accent. Strong character actor. Athletic.
(Strong Baritone to an F, Age Range 30-45)

TINKER BELL – Peter Pan’s loyal fairy companion, feisty and unpredictable. A strong female, must be skilled in mime, similar to the Mute in The Fantasticks, wears an apparatus on her hand which represents where the fairy is, but speaks in sign and motions. Must be willing to fly. (Age Range 15-25)

SMEEE – Loyal comical sidekick to Captain Hook. Good comedic timing a must. Cockney accent. Tap dance experience a plus. (Baritone, Age Range 25-55)

MRS. DARLING - Beautiful wife of Mr. Darling. Nurturing, tender, adores her children. British accent.
(Strong Soprano, Age Range 30-45)

TIGER LILY – Brave daughter of Indian Chief. Princess of Neverland. Strong, resilient, not afraid to stand up to adversity. Speaks in broken English. (Strong singer/actor/dancer, Age Range 13-18)

THE LOST BOYS
Tootles, Slightly, Curly, Nibs and additional Lost Boys. Males and Females to play Males.
(Strong singers/dancers/actors, Age Range 10-14)

THE PIRATES
Strong singers/dancers/actors. Tap experience a plus. Males and Females to play Males.
(Age Range 15+)

Audition/Interview Dates:
May 15 from 6:00-9:00 by appointment

Callbacks or second audition/interview?
Invitational Callbacks May 22

Audition Requirements:
Bring a current headshot and resume to leave with the panel. Prepare one song selection, no longer than one verse and one chorus (approximately 16-32 bars) of sheet music from the musical theatre canon. Accompanist will be provided. Accompanist will not transpose music. No taped accompaniment or singing acapella permitted. Some of those that audition will be selected to return to the callback. The callback will consist of a dance audition, and some individuals will be asked to cold-read sides and sing selections from the production.

Monetary compensation:
All cast and crew are volunteers.
