“Pickle the Dog Who Loved to Read” is a new original children’s musical about a dog who loved to read and a little girl who didn’t. Our musical celebrates reading while taking a closer look at the complex issue of dyslexia.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
We are looking for 7 singer/actors (male and female) to play a variety of roles in a new children's musical. Performers with a background in physical comedy theater especially encouraged to audition

Mona Lisa – strong, inventive little girl. Female actress 14 – 18 years of age

Mona Lisa’s Mother – Warm and loving mother. Female actress 25 years +

Pickle the Dog - male actor 20 + with physical comedy skills

Librarian/Teacher – wild and zany. Female actor 20 +

Ensemble (friends of Mona Lisa) – 2 male/1 female ages 14 – 25 years

Audition/Interview Dates:
April 11th, 2017 6:30pm - 10pm

Callbacks or second audition/interview?
April 13, 2017 7pm - 9pm

Audition Requirements:
Sides from script and songs from the musical will be provided at the audition. Some improv.

Monetary compensation:
All actors will be be paid. Compensation will be $750 to be paid on the final day of performance.
