Funhouse is an anthology play series. Like a funhouse, we wish to challenge, amuse, and surprise our audience. We want to distort our audience’s conventional perception of reality with unpredictable content that is thrilling, whacky, and transgressive in nature. But we also want folks to be able to wander in and enjoy themselves.
Created by Brian Toews.
Produced and directed by Anna Ly, Brian Toews, and Chris Quilici.
Fight/movement choreography by Gavin McLean.
Additional design by Grayson Miller, Erika Jacobson, Joe Lambright, and Charles Weber.
The show will feature ten original short plays written by playwrights Marie Biondolillo,
Darren Caulley, Rachael Everson, Jesse Ewing-Frable, Levi Friedman, Jacob Alexander Foerg, Lamar Legend, Bowen Morrison, Lyssandra Norton, and Bryan Willis.
Plays will be performed by an ensemble cast of 9-10 actors.
Tech rehearsals will be the evenings of June 26-28.
Performances will be June 29, 30, and July 1, at the Eclectic Theater.
We will also be hosted by the Northwest Playwrights’ Alliance for a staged reading of the full show on June 12 at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
We are looking to cast an ensemble of 9 or 10 actors to each play multiple roles. The plays vary greatly, from absurd comedy to dramatic romance. You will need to be comfortable with profanity and suggestions of violence or sexuality.
We believe that theatre should reflect the community it serves. As such, we encourage people of all experiences to audition. This includes people of any race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, class, or religion.
