Committee for Children, a Seattle-based educational non-profit, is casting for teenager roles in a series of short videos. These videos will be part of a curriculum designed for the school market in the U.S. and international territories (non-broadcast). Some may also appear on the Internet.

First-round auditions will be held on Fri Feb 17 & Sat Feb 18 in Georgetown. Specific date/time will be assigned in advance (NO walk-ins). Due to limited spots, we reserve the right to decide who will get an audition. Callback auditions will take place in March. Filming will be scheduled for April, most likely on one or two weekdays. When you submit, please indicate any major conflicts during March and April.

 

Other details:
To request for an audition, submit the following information by email ASAP under the subject "Committee for Children audition". Please do NOT use the form response from TPSonline!!

• Name
• Date of birth
• Parent OR legal guardian's name, email, and contact phone number (business hours)
• Attach a PHOTO (head to toe preferred, can be a recent camera phone photo)
• Any availability issues during March and April
• Indicate you saw the audition info on TPS
• Your agency, if you are represented (we will need to go through your agency to work with you)

 

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Looking for teenagers who look and sound like 7th grader (older end), 8th grader, or 9th grader. WE WANT A DIVERSE CAST AND WELCOME APPLICANTS OF ALL RACES/ETHNICITIES, ACCENTS, BODY TYPES, AND DISABILITIES. Acting experiences are not required, but you must be comfortable with delivering lines and displaying genuine emotions. NOTE: If you have been cast in one of our filming projects during the past year, you are automatically considered for callbacks and do NOT need to apply in this round.

Feb 17-18, email for appointment

Audition Requirements:
Cold readings from script. Dress is casual. Bring a headshot & resume, or a printed good-quality photo that we can keep.

Monetary compensation:
Lead roles: $600 for full-day or $400 for half-day.
Supporting roles: $450 for full-day or $300 for half-day.
Extras: $300 for full-day or $200 for half-day.
Wardrobe/rehearsal sessions will be paid at $50 per hour.
Agency fees are additional, if applicable.
