A deliciously witty comedy of manners, Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES follows the story of Amanda and Elyot, two divorcees who have coincidentally booked adjoining honeymoon suites with their new (and wholly unsuitable) spouses. Hilarity and passion ensue when Amanda and Elyot rekindle both their romance and ire, with their new spouses in hot pursuit. Looking for comedic actors who are fluent in cutting insults and witty banter.
Reboot is interested in examining the gender relationship between Elyot and Amanda and will also be exploring gender fluidity within these roles. Questions? Please ask! firstname.lastname@example.org

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
We are looking for actors of all genders, ethnicities, sizes, shapes, and alignments!
ELYOT: Male-identified, 30's. Arrogant, handsome, and smart. Dry wit and humor. Amanda's ex-husband, Sybil's new husband. We are hoping to better define Elyot's gender identity through the rehearsal process.
We are looking to cast a trans, genderqueer, or female-identifying performer for the role of Elyot. People of color and LGBTQ folk strongly encouraged to apply.
AMANDA: Female, 30's. Confident, comfortable with who she is, can be flippant, but she is fiercely intelligent. She is more "masculine" than socially acceptable for a woman in the 1930's. Elyot's ex-wife, Victor's new wife.
SYBIL: Female, younger than Elyot. Pretty, fluffy, girly, a little jealous. She wants what is fair. Elyot's wife.
VICTOR: Male, 30's-40's. An English gentlemen with traditional views of how men and women should behave. Well intentioned, but a little stiff. Amanda's husband.
LOUISE: French maid. Any gender. Speaks French. Small part, but LOTS of side-eye and judgey face needed.
