Ovation! Performing Arts Northwest, formerly Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge, will present the Sondheim masterwork, SWEENEY TODD, July 14-30, 2017.
The production team includes Ron Milton, director and Reece Sauve', music director. Performance dates are July 14-30, 2017 at the BHS Theatre on Bainbridge Island (no affiliation, we rent the stage). Rehearsals will begin April 11, 2017. As this music is complex and difficult the first four-five weeks of the rehearsal period will be devoted to the music exclusively. The show will be presented with orchestra.
f you are interested in learning more about the show we recommend the original Broadway cast recording as reference material. If you wish to view the show, we recommend the Concert Version recorded with Patti LuPone, George Hearn and Neil Patrick Harris. Please know that the Johnny Depp movie is not representative of the actual show and all the amazing chorus music was cut from that movie. We do not recommend viewing the movie in preparation for this audition.
To schedule an audition, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
