In NITE SKOOL written by The Libertinis with Max Kirchner (Gone Wild!, Yer Cheatin’ Heart, Atomic Falls, USA), our audience members are the students and class is in session! This genre-blending and boundary-crushing production combines comedy, clowning, neo-burlesque, music, and splashy dance numbers to re teach our students the finer points of literature, physical fitness, biology, hallway romance, and hot lunch. As a generative production, NITE SKOOL will lead the audience through a full day of school using a variety of storytelling styles by plumbing the depths of our fine education system (including, but not limited to: abstinence-only sex education, the whitewashing of American history, gym teachers wishing they had followed their dreams, and meatball subs dancing in a lunchroom). The informative and hilarious overarching narrative will drive home the idea that knowledge and curiosity are ageless and important endeavors. Think Schoolhouse Rock for grown-ups.

Other details:
ABOUT ANNEX THEATRE:
Annex Theatre is a democratic collective of theatre artists dedicated to creating BOLD NEW WORK in an environment of improbability, resourcefulness, and risk. Annex has produced upwards of 300 individual performances during its 30-year history. For more information on who we are, please check us out at annextheatre.org

ABOUT THE LIBERTINIS:
The Libertinis are an interarts gang - interdisciplinary performance ensemble if you're fancy! We devise and deliver genre-blending, boundary-crushing storytelling guaranteed to electrify heads, hearts, guts, and groins. For the past five years, The Libertinis have been dealing low blows to high art across fringe stages, art festivals, and unsuspecting company parties around the city. We thrive on collaboration and shaking together a variety of performance styles into one deliciously weird cocktail. Dig Deeper at www.TheLibertinis.com.
