Book-It Repertory Theatre’s Arts and Education Program will be holding General Auditions for their 2016-2017 Touring Season on Aug. 4th and 5th.

Book-It’s Arts and Education Program presents three original adaptations of books for children, young adults and adults that tour schools, libraries and community venues all across the state of Washington. In addition to performing in the touring production, actors will be trained to work as teaching artists, providing workshops that further foster students’ engagement and understanding of each show's themes. Each show is expected to have between 40-60 touring performances and 40-50 workshops; the majority are scheduled during daytime school hours (8am-3pm).

Directed by Arlene Martinez-Vasquez
Every Sunday after church, CJ and his grandma ride the bus across town. But today, CJ wonders why they don't own a car like his friend Colby. Why doesn’t he have an iPod like the boys on the bus? How come they always have to get off in the dirty part of town? Each question is met with an encouraging answer from grandma, who helps him see the beauty and fun in their routine and the world around them.
