As part of Ghost Light Theatricals' Battle of the Bards, we will be creating an approximately 20min. adaptation of The Rape of Lucrece with a gamer culture/gamergate context. (Actors do not need to be gamers to relate!) While we may be playing with some text, the plan is to really create from the company of actors/artists so all actors are welcome. Rehearsals will start sometime after January 1st and the performances are February 6th and 7th. There will be a required Tech on February 3rd or 4th and a Final Dress rehearsal on February 5th that you'd definitely need to be available for. Rehearsals will be in the evenings on weekdays and afternoons on the weekend depending on actor and space availability. It will be a collaborative process that will incorporate text and stylized movement. This will be a great opportunity to ring in the new year and meet some new collaborators. Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Since this is an ensemble piece actors of all races/ethnicities/genders are considered. Comfort with verse/classical text, movement, devised work a plus but not necessary.
