TITLE EMAL: FINDING THE BALANCE OCT20th
Finding The Balance is a story of overcoming adversity. About a husband and wife, Daniel and Collette, who are ready to start a family. Daniel is diagnosed with a neurological disorder (spinocerebellar ataxia type 2) and learns there is a 50/50 chance of passing on this disorder if they have children. Daniel knows how much having a baby means to Collette and struggles with when and how to tell his wife they may not be able to have the family they dream of.
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Daniel Holbrook (Early to mid thirties) is an athletic male who is diagnosed with a progressive neurological disorder.
Collette Holbrook (Early to mid thirties) married to Daniel. Strong, independent woman that is ready to have children and start a family. (Her clock is ticking and she is excited with the idea of being a mom/family)
Stacy Madrone (has been cast) She is Collette’s best friend. She is supportive and protective of Collette. She is suspicious of Daniel’s behavior lately.
Troy Madrone (Early to mid thirties) best friend since college to Daniel. They spend their time fishing and working out at the gym together. He is the voice of reason for Daniel.
Dr. Burke (has been cast) Diagnoses Daniel.
