Project Description:
SecondStory Repertory is holding auditions for our November 2012 Theater for Young Audiences production of The Frog Prince directed by Danny Miller. Music direction by Julie Parsons.

The Princess is not supposed to be down by the well because the Old Witcher Woman practices her black magic nearby ... but the Princess does not always behave. When she loses her precious golden ball down the well, a Frog comes to the rescue and retrieves it. All he desires in return is her promise of friendship, but the Princess breaks her word. When the King discovers this, he intervenes and insists that his daughter fulfill her part of the bargain.

The show runs November 9-25, 2012. Fridays at 7p, Saturdays at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm. We will have school shows the week of November 14-18, 2012; shows are at 9:30am and 11:30am. The specific days and times of the school shows will be determined a week or two prior to opening due to schools booking into the start of the school year. Rehearsal schedule is Sunday-Thursday 7p-9:30p. Rehearsals begin October 15, 2012.

Audition/Interview Dates:
Sunday September 30, 2012 7pm-9pm

Audition Requirements:
Please come with headshot, resume, monologue and a song. The song and monologue should each be under 2 minutes in length. The song must be accompanied live. (No un-accompanied songs or pre-recorded music, please.) An accompanist will be provided.

Describe any monetary compensation:
SecondStory pays a stipend to defray the cost of participation in the production. For this production we pay $25/performance.
