Project Description:
"Two Can Play" is the story of Wallis Somerset, an aging reclusive invalid writer of some fame who hires Alex Porter to be her assistant. On the surface, all seem simple and straight forward enough, we soon find ourselves caught up in a game of manipulation and deceit. Howard's play leaves you wondering who is telling the truth Wallis or Alex and what are they hiding from each other. I have described it as a cross between "Sunset Boulevard" and "Sleuth". The play has a dangerous predatory psychosexual quality to it. |
