Project Description:
Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984), FAME JR. is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.
DETAILS
Roles: Parts for up to 24 actors. Ages 9yrs-15yrs
Auditions: September 12th and 13th 4:30-8:30pm You can audition for multiple shows with one audition.
Callbacks:Saturday September 16th 10am-2pm
Rehearsals: Tuesday– Friday 6-8:30pm Sunday 2-4:30pm. Rehearsals from January 14th , 2013 – February 28th, 2013
Mandatory: 10am-6pm Saturday February 23rd . February 25th-28th 5pm-9pm
Performances: March 1st, 2nd, 8th,9th & 10th. Fridays & Saturdays at 7:00pm, Sunday 2:00pm.

Audition Requirements:
Prepare: Prepare a contemporary monologue and a song. Not to exceed 3 minutes total
Bring: Head shot, resume, and sheet music (No lead sheets, please. Make sure the printed music is in your key). An accompanist will be provided. You may use recorded accompaniment, but please bring a printed copy of the music and the CD/mp3 player you plan on using.
