Project Description:
There’s No Place Like Home is a free citywide mobile installation-performance folly created by Lucia Neare’s Theatrical Wonders. The month-long journey begins in late October 2012 when a three-story Victorian house, accompanied by a family of singing Bears. takes to the streets of Seattle for a series of adventures.

Please prepare one a cappella song; be prepared to improvise, harmonize, move, and play. We may ask you to sight sing a short selection. |

We are casting performers to play (and understudy) the Family of Bears.
Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass.
SINGERS with physical theater, acting, and improvisation skills
Adult performers only, please.
Please be comfortable with a high degree of play.

About Lucia Neare’s Theatrical Wonders: We are devoted to creating free, living, joyful experiences for public audiences that offer vivid infusions of whimsy and inspire hope and expansive thinking. Since 2006 the company has presented numerous free, large-scale, site-specific theatrical works in Seattle, bringing joy and inspiration to thousands of audience participants.
Rehearsals begin in early/mid September.
Performance dates:
October 21, 2-5pm
October 28, 10-1p
November 10; 1-4p
December 8- 4-10p (time tbd)
Additional TBD Dates: 11/25-12/1 (one out of these dates)
There’s No Place Like Home is commissioned and inspired by Community Power Works and Seattle City Light, with support from the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
