Project Description:
DOMESTICITY is a new work compiled of scenes from fours shows written between 1890-1927. The plays used are La Ronde, Hedda Gabler, The Constant Wife, and Mrs. Warren's Profession. Using only original text from these shows, DOMESTICITY chronicles the changing roles of women in the home during the first sexual revolution. DOMESTICITY will be performed in homes around the Seattle area for 4 weekends in October, with rehearsals beginning September 17th. |

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
Hedda Gabler (Hedda Gabler)/ Mrs. Warren (Mrs. Warren's Profession): Must be able to play 20s-40s. Sharp, determined, and in control.
Vivie Warren (Mrs. Warren's Profession)/Constance (The Constant Wife): 20's - 30's. Willful, outgoing, and well educated. The "New Woman".
The Young Man (La Ronde)/John (The Constant Wife): 20's to 30's. Charming, endearing, and protective.
