Project Description:
Feature film "Backyard Man" is looking for some extras and small speaking roles to be filled.

The movie stars Michael Beach (The Abyss, Third Watch, Sons Of Anarchy, Red Dawn 2012) and a number of other well known actors and actresses and centers around a metal scrapper who befriends a teenage runaway.

Production is set for August 14-28 and the roles we need filled are spread out across that schedule. This project is ultra low budget, everybody is working for little or nothing and money is spread thin as-is, so we cannot offer pay for these roles. Actors on set for more than 4 hours will get a meal and everybody involved will be invited to the cast and crew screening.

While we are a partial SAG production, we cannot afford to pay SAG extras, so please only submit for consideration if you are non-union.

Character Breakdown / Project Needs
- Shooting range person (4)- male or female age 50-80 - willing to fire a pistol at a shooting range - August 27th late morning
- Reality TV kid - female age 3-6 - must be able to speak and follow direction well enough to yell the equivalent of "screw you, mommy!!" with a sassy tone - 1 hour between august 8 and 12. Time flexible.
- Reality TV show mom - female age 25-40 - 1 hour between august 8 and 12. Time flexible.
- Metal scrapper (2) - male age 25-50 - latino - August 27th late afternoon/early evening
- Swingset girl - female age 11-14 - caucasian with blonde hair - August 18 late morning
- Man being chased by dog - male age 25-50 - must be willing to run from a friendly dog and act scared - August 16th late morning
- Dog - anybody have a big dog that will run after somebody if prompted? - August 16th late morning
- Teen boy (3) - age 14-17 - August 16th late morning
- Recycling center extras (6) - age 25-60 - these people need to look grubby, scummy and creepy. Not to say that you need to look like that naturally, but you will need to be able to be grubbed up - August 26 and 27 5pm-dark
- Weirdo dream guy - age 30-50 - must be comfortable in skimpy bathing suit - August 16th afternoon
- Renovation worker (3) - age 25-50 - burly construction worker type - August 16th afternoon
- Ray's daughter - age 4-9 -caucasian female - august 14th afternoon
- Coitus interruptus guy - male age 30-50 - must be comfortable with nudity, scene involves simulated sex with female, character interrupts and you yell at him - August 16th
- Scrapper (2) - male age 30-50 - must be able to look scummy and gross
- EMT - age 25-45 - August 20 late afternoon
- Nightmare bodies (5) - male or female age 20-35 - must be comfortable with nudity, being covered with blood and writhing around in a pile if similarly bloody naked people, gonna be creepy! - August 28th evening
