Featuring a predominantly African-American cast, a run time of a little under an hour, and issues of place, class, and rectitude, the play 'connecticut' revolves around a late summer weekend at a beach house with a group of friends, one of whom may have committed a heinous crime back in the city, which another person in the group is trying to stop. The production will be included in this fall's Seattle Fringe Festival.
Character Breakdown / Project Needs
The role being considered is DERRICK -- male, mid- to late twenties, African-American, arrogant, affluent, intelligent, cunning, commanding, and cruel. We are very interested in Seattle area talent who can bring this role to life from the page.

Please provide a resume and headshot, as well as forwarding both to sparrowsandalchemists@live.com. In addition, please be prepared with a contemporary dramatic monologue. (If a monologue is not available, sides can be provided.)
