Project Description:
Rosenstock Productions, in collaboration with ACT's Central Heating Lab, present their twisted take on Christmas in the holiday farce WISEMEN.
The show plays December 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, & 22nd in ACT’s Falls Theatre. We are asking everyone to block out Dec. 23, 27, 28, & 29 as well for possible extension dates.
All members of the ensemble are requested to attend a fundraiser the evening of November 8th at La Isla restaurant in Ballard, where food/drink will be provided.
Rehearsals will start November 12th.
Wisemen traces the trials of three representatives from the Wisemen Law Firm: Goldberg, Frankenstein and Murray. Hired by a cuckolded Joseph to find and prosecute the biological father of the Baby Jesus, the three lawyers must hold court against an evil Santa Claus, the gangster rapping Easter Bunny and G-d himself in their quest for the truth. A hilariously sacrilegious script and an original score ranging from klezmer to hip-hop, to funk to mariachi and back again, make this show a huge crowd pleaser.

Audition Information

Audition/Interview Dates:
Monday August 13th, 3-7pm. E-mail david.bestock@gmail.com to request a slot. |
Callbacks or second audition/interview?
Thursday August 16th, 3-7pm. |
Audition Requirements:
Please prepare 30-seconds or so of a capella song showcasing your vocal range. You will be asked to learn and sing a harmony part during your audition. Please do not request an audition unless you are an experienced singer.
You will be asked to cold-read sides from the script, and to move/dance.
We would also love to hear you rap if you have something you can prepare. |
Describe any monetary compensation:
Pay is $800 for actors, with the possibility of more if the show sells well.

One man 20-50 who can act, sing, and dance is needed to play:
MURRAY - Irish lawyer, sly, clever. Irish accent.
VARIOUS - Everyone in the cast will play many characters.
