Project Description:
Florida Studio Theatre, Richard Hopkins Artistic Director, will be holding auditions for musical performers for the following show/role in the 2012-13 Cabaret Season:
The Wanderers, The Sequel
The 1950s: bobby socks, hula hoops and street corner quartets.
From an innocent era of stunning harmonies by young guys in
matching jackets to the early quays of Rock ‘n’ Roll. These crooners
started on the street, jumped to the hops and serenaded a
generation through the 50s and 60s on the boardwalk. Featuring
songs like “Twist and Shout,” “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” “Still of
the Night” and early selections from the Beatles.
“Doo Wop will live forever” -Richard Foos
Man #3 – leading man type in his 30’s, a “Jersey Boys” type, baritone.
Man #4 – a bass in his 30’s-40, ethnicity unimportant, a “Jersey Boys” type.
Rehearsals begin – September 25, 2012
Show opens – October 19, 2012
Show closes – February 10, 2013
