We are looking for a young man, playable age 17, for the role of Jason in "Rabbit Hole" by David Lindsay-Abaire, produced by Theatre Verity. The other roles have already been cast.

We are looking for a young man, playable age 17, for the role of Jason in RABBIT HOLE by David Lindsay-Abaire, produced by Theatre Verity. This is an incredible opportunity to play a very challenging role in a play that deals with one of the most difficult things in life...loss. Plus which, there's a monologue that would make a kick-ass audition piece. Please forward this listing to anyone you know who would be interested in this tremendous undertaking!
About the Play
Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. RABBIT HOLE charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day.
Jason is the young man who accidentally killed Becca and Howie's young son when the son ran in front of Jason's car.
Rehearsals and Performances
Our first rehearsal is September 8th. Regular rehearsals start September 16th, with rehearsals Monday through Thursday evenings, and some Sunday rehearsals. We will break for the Jewish holidays. Rehearsals are just southeast of Greenlake, in the home of one of the actors. The #16 bus from downtown stops two blocks away.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, October 26th through November 10th, with an additional performance on Thursday November 8th, and matinees on the 3rd and 10th. Performances are at Freehold Theatre in Belltown.

Jason, playable age 17.
Audition/Interview Dates:
Sunday, August 5th, from 1:00 to 4:45, at the Broadview Library
Callbacks or second audition/interview?
Saturday, August 11th, from 2:30 to 5:45, at the Ballard Library
Audition Requirements:
Two contrasting monologues, total time three minutes or less. At least one should be from a contemporary drama.
Monetary compensation:
No pay.
