Audition Information

Audition/Interview Dates:
July 8 & 9

Audition Requirements:
One minute dramatic monologue.
Be prepared to do the monologue twice: once in your regular speaking voice, the other in a British / French accent. Actors who are not proficient in British / French, yet fluent with another European dialect are welcome to use that dialect.

Note: Some roles may be double cast. For this reason, character actors &/or those with improvisation experience are encouraged to audition.
1st & 2nd Beadseller: (M; any age; must look native to Egypt / North Africa)
Steward: (M; any age; must look native to Egypt / North Africa)
Miss Ffoliot-Ffoulkes: (F; 50 -70; British accent; wealthy, snobbish, ill-tempered)
Christina Grant: (F; 25-30; even tempered; kind; British accent)
Smith: (M; 25-30; rouge, brash, impulsive; British accent)
Louise: (F; 20-30; saucy, impetuous; French accent)
Dr. Bessner: (M; 40 -55; friendly, eager to please; German accent)
Kay Mostyn: (F; 25- 28; young movie star, friendly, outgoing)
Simon Mostyn: (M; 28-35; Kay’s loving husband)
Canon Pennefather: (M; 50-60; imposing Cleric)
Jacqueline De Severac: (F; 25-28; Simon’s scorned lover)
McNaught: (M; 50-65; Boat Captain. May cast younger)
